Lester Norwood
President & Personal Financial Representative
I am a Personal Financial Representative who is currently serving as the President of Legacy Builders Insurance & Financial Services located in Newport News, Virginia. I was born and raised in Memphis where I obtained my Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Memphis.
While at the University of Memphis I was initiated into the Magnificent Xi Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated.
I am the proud Husband to Kristie Norwood and proud father to my incredible son Lennox and his adorable sister Kaidyn.
Since joining Allstate in 2013, my work is all about creating and protecting a Legacy for my clients, my team, and my community — because too often Middle Americans are underrepresented in the insurance and financial sector, and financial literacy is one of the keys to our success.
Manny Cuevas
Office Manager
I am the Office Manager at Legacy Builders Insurance & Financial Services. Originally from New York — living in Brooklyn and Manhattan — I moved to Newport News in 1989 and have built deep roots in our local community. I graduated from Menchville High School and attended Johnson & Wales University in Norfolk.
At Johnson & Wales I developed the skills I use every day: multitasking, listening, engaging, following a plan while staying flexible. Our work is about creating, protecting, and maintaining a legacy for our clients, our team, and our community — because I fully believe it is our responsibility to leave the world a better place.
I also assist at Heritage High School, where my wife of 11 years teaches, and I am actively involved with Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Peninsula, helping host events to raise funds for their mission to end homelessness.
Outside of work and community involvement, I serve on the board of a game development company with hopes to release our first product within the next year.
